The rest of the website

The rest of the website, i decided to go with a basic layout and portfolio site for Synchrony Media Design. the company i am branding is into clean up to date design of all kind, they also offer photography as a service. i went with the same colour scheme for the whole site, its orange blue black and white. the orange is a deep red orange to accent the cyan blue. and the black and white really work for the background and type.
Here is a sample from my site, the pages look clean sophisticated and very modern
i think that the colours really help to add to this feeling. The first page is news and about page, you can see how the colour scheme really helps lead the eye to the navigation and also it really makes the information stand out due to the contrast.

the next page is the home page, this page is going to be dedicated to the Design worlds goings on, up to date news items that are of interest to the design firm. again you can see how the navigation is very clear as to what page you are on etc.
The last page is a example of the portfolio gallery, in the gallery there will be examples of the work, from web to print to the photography. here i have shown what the web page would look like showing the Print Design gallery. and how it would look when a thumb is selected and how the larger image would be displayed.

Website Colour Project

I decided on a great colour scheme and logo for my website. i went with a Cyan, a deep red orange and white. the complementary colours work very well together, and i used Black and white as the accent contrast colours.
the final result is very dynamic in my eyes. it really stands out quite well, as for the rest of the site i decided to carry the colour through the whole site, from the navigation colours to the type.

here is the logo for the site i am working on.

Final Step

The last step in the Vancouver project was taking the the three images, and working them together in photoshop. With the black and white image scanned i painted in more shadows in areas i wanted to darken in the overall image, and i also did the same with the scan of the colour image. i added some colour in areas that i wanted to accent. all three layers came together very well. By adding extra colour fill layers to tint the shadows and deepen the colour contrast i was finished at last.
here are the two final images from the Vancouver colour project.
