colour colour colour

Talking about colours and how they are seen and how other colours can effect the real look of another colour has been on my mind. i have been noticing the colours in alot of things and i have found a pretty cool looking photo of colour bars. its red, a cool blue and a warm orange and a warm blue. the colour arrangement makes the the orange look almost yellow. which i find interesting.



I also found another image that is an example of a Discord colours. In this image, the colours vibrate due to the contrast. (FYI the colours don't really look as good in the version that got uploaded to the blog)

Week 3 Colours in Nature

Colour is everywhere, and plays so many different roles. whether its to sell us something, or as in some cases in Nature to get our attention.


in some cases, the use of colour is to get our attention and warn us of something dangerous. here is a photo of the European Peacock butterfly. they are so full of colour and they use it to protect themselves from danger and predators. this photo shows some of its defence tactics the eye spots are exposed when the butterfly is disturbed by a potential predator such as a bird in a startling anti-predator display.
